Knowing how much fat, salt and sugar there is in food can seem tricky, but there are ways to make it easier.
How does the traffic light system work?
Lots of food now comes with colour coded labels to show you how much fat, sugar and salt there is at a glance.
- red means high
- amber means medium
- green means low
As a rough guide, the NHS suggests choosing more greens and ambers, and fewer reds, to make your meal choices as healthy as possible.
